A comparison with the digital copy at the University of North Texas Library shows that the Colombier edition is an exact copy of the Adolphe Catelin et Cie. edition.

As to publishing date: as his quartet no.7 Op.80 was published (by Richault) in (or before) 1857 (BdlF 14 February 1857), it seems likely that this work was first published before then (or else stayed in manuscript awhile, of course.)

Re 1838 date: from Le Ménéstrel, I think an 1838 issue (vol.6 p.48) (either copyright-blocked by Google or hopefully just not yet scanned in full)- "Le premier quatuor de M. C. Dancla vient de paraître..."
