The Op.39 has also appeared as 2 Impromptus fugitifs (Hofmeister's Monatsbericht (1842), p.21), with the present Tarantelle being one in the set; but it seems that Döhler later renounced the (other) impromptu from the opus, as afterwards (after 1843), the Tarantelle is listed as just "Op.39" and not as "Op.39 No.?", along with the impromptu concurrently never being mentioned again (last appearance: Hofmeister's Monatsbericht (1843), p.70). See this BnF score for the 2-piece opus (but note that at least their titles are reversed in error). Also interesting are the circumstances behind the album to which the initial 2 impromptus were published; the same site has a score in which the 2 impromptus switch places in comparison to the BnF score (and the Tarantelle is also titled correctly).
