Navigation etc.
- The oboe part seems to be a later addition. To be noted that the oboe plays one tone higher, because is tuned in Kammerton whilst the strings (and the continuo) are in Chorton (see similar situations in Bach's first works, for instance). Also to be noted is the french clef used for the part, likely the easier one for an instrument player coming from France (where the hautbois was developed).
- Neither the RISM record above (see link above, Manuscript Sources), nor this RISM link lists the oboe part, so this is tagged for just the soprano and string parts.
The instrumentation given on the two surviving manuscripts in S-Uu are "sop: solo è 4 strom:" (keyboard tablature score) and "Soprano solo Con quatre Viole" (parts, title page). The individual parts are labelled "violino, hautbois (discussed above), violetta, violatta 2da, viola IV (bass clef), continuo, and basso continuo.
