This firm published songs and piano music from the early 20th century. Its most famous series was the Portrait Gallery series for piano. Typical composers were John Longmire (1902–1986), Ernest Markham Lee (1874–1956) and Ashworth Hope (1880–1962).(the arranger of Barnacle Bill the BBC children's TV Blue Peter signature tune.) Gould & Bolttler now belongs to MSM Music Publishers of Manchester.
