Brother of Josef Lhévinne (1874-1944) and Aleksandr Levin (1886-1960). Note that later publications of works attributed only to "M. Levin" could (conceivably...) be e.g. publications of works by Michele Levin, a composer also alive in the 1950s; worth double-checking.
