William Lawrence taught psalmody at the Presbyterian Meeting House (also known as the King's Weigh House), Eastcheap, London. He is also mentioned in the preface to Gawthorn's Harmonia Perfecta.
J. T. Lightwood, in his handwritten note in the exemplar uploaded on this page, is erroneous in attributing this to William Langford (minister of the King's Weigh House, 1742-75.
