  • According to Grove Music, "In 1732, having ‘lately arrived from Germany’, he gave a concert in London consisting of his own concertos and chamber music for ‘the small flute’ (i.e. recorder)." There is no mention of transverse flute in the Grove article on Schickhardt, and in addition, he wrote an instruction manual for the recorder. These have accordingly been tagged as for recorder.
